This was a project I undertook in my first year of college for the Royal Opera House Design Challenge. The project required me to create a poster design for the opera, 'Carmen' that follows the Royal Opera House's brand, template and marketing guidelines. The design had to include one of the four visions that were given in the brief. I chose to "design a production that celebrates modernity, challenges stereotypes, and presents the opera as the ground breaking, original, and fiercely feminist work that it is."

I took the photo on a DSLR camera and developed it in Photoshop with the idea of creating a colourful, modern poster that powerfully explains the story of 'Carmen'. My poster won the college competition and was shortlisted in the final competition for the Royal Opera House.
